The EB Indie Film Festival was founded by Emily Eng and Kevin Lin. They met in 2016 at Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts when they were studying Digital Filmmaking. They formed the organization to give young local artists a space to showcase their work in East Brunswick. The film festival also gives filmmakers the opportunity to connect with one another.

Seven films will be showcased on both nights at the Community Arts Center. The festival will culminate in an awards ceremony on the final night.
