East Brunswick Is Hosting A Coat Drive For Afghan Refugees
Donations for recently-arrived Afghan refugees will be collected at the East Brunswick Public Library.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Councilman Dinesh Behal is organizing a coat drive to help Afghan refugees who recently arrived in New Jersey.
The first group of Afghan refugees arrived at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst last week. The joint base is one of four military bases in the United States that are providing temporary shelter to Afghans as part of Operation Allies Refuge, according to the Defense Department.

New jackets and/or coats for all genders and sizes are needed. Donations will be collected by the Township and the East Brunswick Public Library. There will be a donation box inside the library.
