East Brunswick Library Will Take A Look At Black History Through Jazz
Take a tour of the rich and vibrant history of jazz in this engaging event.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – February is Black History Month, where Americans pay tribute to generations of African Americans who struggled to achieve full citizenship in American society.
The East Brunswick Public Library will be taking a look at Black history through music – namely jazz.
Guest presenter Sandford Josephson, Editor of “Jersey Jazz Magazine,” will take attendees on a tour of significant movements in the rich and vibrant history of jazz, focusing on the important role it played in the Harlem Renaissance, as well as the experiences of expatriates and their resistance to racism.
