East Brunswick Man Arrested For Heroin Possession After Alluding Police
A 45-year-old East Brunswick man was arrested for heroin possession and obstruction.

A 45-year-old East Brunswick man was arrested for heroin possession and obstruction after he alluded police who noticed him sitting in a suspicious vehicle parked in a vacant parking lot.
According to the East Brunswick Police Department:
On August 18, 2014 while on patrol, Patrolman Reginald Wright approached a suspicious vehicle parked in a vacant parking lot in the area of Rt 18 north and Eggers Street. The vehicle was occupied by three males. The rear seat passenger, later identified as Alexander Rosario a 45 year old male from East Brunswick, appeared nervous and refused to listen to Ptl. Wright’s commands.

Rosario was ordered to remove his hands from his pocket as he was observed fidgeting with an item in his pocket. As he removed his hands from his pocket he turned around and ran from Ptl. Wright. Rosario ran across the highway down Ruth Street towards Taylor Avenue.
Additional officers arrived on scene and began to look for Rosario. While searching the area, Ptl. John Bird found Rosario hiding in the backyard of a residence on Eggers Street.
He was taken into custody and found to have a hypodermic syringe in his possession. Officers began to search the area for any other narcotics. Ptl. Jason Walrond found six glassine envelopes filled with Heroin in the front yard of a residence on Ruth Street where Rosario ran past.
Rosario was charged with possession of Heroin, possession of a hypodermic syringe and obstruction. He was transported to the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick in lieu of $10,000 bail.
