East Brunswick Man Killed After Pickup Strikes Tractor-Trailer In Sayreville

The man was pronounced dead at the scene after an early morning collision, police said.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 30-year-old East Brunswick man was killed early Friday after his pickup truck collided with a commercial tractor-trailer on Bordentown Avenue, Sayreville police said.

Mohammad Danyal was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m. near Robert Street.

Police said Danyal was driving a blue Ford F-150 westbound on Bordentown Avenue when it struck the trailer of a tractor-trailer that was turning left onto the road. The commercial vehicle is owned by SSI Transporting of Englewood.

The tractor-trailer driver reported the crash and remained on scene, police said. No criminal charges or summonses have been issued. The incident remains under investigation.
