East Brunswick Officer Injured In Crash Is Released From Hospital
Sgt. James Angermeier was injured in a crash involving a Honda HR-V on May 17. He was released from hospital Monday, the department said.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – Sgt. James Angermeier who sustained injuries in a crash last week, has been released from hospital, the police department said.
Angermeier along with Sgt. John Bird from the department's Motorcycle Unit, was injured in a crash involving a Honda HR-V on May 17.
“Sergeant Angermeier was released from the hospital today and will continue his road to recovery,” The police department said on Facebook Monday afternoon. “We would like to thank the community and our law enforcement family for their support.”

According to preliminary investigation, the two officers were traveling east on Milltown Road, when a Honda HR-V made a left turn from the exit of the Wawa parking lot onto Milltown Road in front of the path of the two motorcycles. The three vehicles collided in the eastbound lane of Milltown Road, officials said.
Bird and Angermeier sustained injuries as a result of the crash. Both were taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. While Bird was treated and released, Angermeier remained hospitalized to undergo further treatment, authorities said.
