Team East Brunswick is raising funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial with a four-day bicycle ride.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — This spring, 11 East Brunswick Police Department officers will go on a 300-mile bicycle ride from New Jersey to Washington, D.C., as part of the annual Police Unity Tour.

The tour is a national event honoring law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

The team, riding under the banner of Team East Brunswick, will make the four-day journey to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in the nation's capital.

Funds raised through the ride benefit the memorial, which commemorates the names of federal, state, and local officers who have died in service to their communities.

David Methner, an East Brunswick police officer with 15 years on the force, said the ride carries deep meaning for participants and the law enforcement community alike.

"Please help support Team East Brunswick as they participate in the 2026 Police Unity Tour," Methner said in a vodeo post on the township’s Facebook page. "Let's go, Team East Brunswick."

The Police Unity Tour was founded in 1997 by Patrick Montuore, an officer from the Florham Park Police Department in New Jersey. What began as a small gesture of remembrance with 18 members riding to D.C., has since grown into one of the largest law enforcement fundraising events in the country, drawing thousands of riders annually.
