East Brunswick Police Catch Two Robbery Suspects With Victim's Help
On Tuesday, at approximately 12:48 a.m., East Brunswick Police Department received a telephone call from a resident about the incident
Two burglars were caught in East Brunswick with assistance from one of the victims, police said.
According to police:
On Tuesday, at approximately 12:48 a.m., East Brunswick Police Department received a telephone call from a resident on North Nelson Circle after she heard her car door slam and observed two individuals, a male and a female, walking away from her vehicle.

She noticed that her interior light was on and that her GPS was missing. She yelled at them and they began to run down the street. She got into her vehicle and drove down the street where she observed the two suspects get into a vehicle. She again yelled at them and told them she wanted her GPS back.
They gave her the GPS unit and then fled the area. As they were fleeing, the vehicle struck a curb and blew out the tire. She contacted headquarters as she continued to follow the suspect’s vehicle. She observed them throwing objects out of the vehicle which was later found to be two additional GPS units.

The suspect vehicle became disabled on Harts Lane as a result of the flat tire. Both suspects were located and placed under arrest by patrol officers and transported to headquarters for further investigation.
Detective Dan Unkel interviewed both the victim and the two suspects. As a result of the investigation two additional victims were identified and the suspects were charged with 3 counts of burglary, theft and possession of stolen property.
The suspects were identified as Jason Mocrytzki, 40, year old male from North Brunswick and Tara Romancino, 23 year old female from East Brunswick. Both suspects were transported to the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in lieu of $40,000 bail.
