East Brunswick Police Invites Public Comment On 'Best Practices'

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Township Police Department is inviting public input and comments as part of its program to achieve accreditation by verifying that it meets recognized professional best practices.
Administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with best practice standards in five basic areas — administrative function, personnel function, operations function, investigative function, and arrestee/detainee function.
Employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling 732-432-6000 on Monday, May 23, between 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team. Email comments can be sent to the police department at fsutter@ebpd.net.

Those interested can also make their comments via telephone, which is limited to five minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with the NJSACOP standards. Contact Captain Frank Sutter at 732-390-6920 or fsutter@ebpd.net for information about the standards.
