East Brunswick’s Crystal Springs Getting $100K Makeover Ahead Of Summer

Contracts approved will cover slide restoration, spray park repairs, and seasonal opening and closing services through 2028.

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — The township is spending more than $100,000 to get Crystal Springs Family Waterpark ready for the summer season, after the Township Council approved two separate contracts at its March 23 meeting.

Aquatic Service Inc. of Sayreville was awarded a contract not to exceed $68,389 to open, winterize, and service the waterpark for 2026, 2027, and 2028, with the option for two additional one-year extensions. The contract also includes an alternate bid for pool painting at $1.52 per square foot for the same period.

A second contract, worth up to $34,376, was awarded to Rain Drop Products, LLC of Ashland, Ohio, to restore the waterpark's slides, spray park, and structures and stairs. That contract was secured through the Sourcewell National Cooperative Purchasing System, a state-approved cooperative pricing program that allows municipalities to purchase services without public bidding.

Combined, the two contracts total $102,766.

The contracts were funded through the township's Recreation and Parks department budget. The council approved both measures as part of its consent agenda — a package of routine items voted on together without separate discussion.
