EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A New Brunswick man was arrested in February after police say he tried to fill a bogus Oxycodone prescription at the Walgreen's pharmacy on Ryders Lane.

The Walgreen's pharmacy called police at 6 p.m. on Feb. 13. When the officer arrived there, he met with Kenneth Watson, 60, of New Brunswick. The man had a prescription for 120 tablets of 30 mg Oxycodone, but was unable to give the police officer the name of the doctor who prescribed it to him.

The officer called the doctor's name on the prescription, who said Watson was not his patient. Watson was charged with criminal attempt to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud. He was also wanted on prior outstanding warrants from Burlington County, Green Brook Twp. and Bridgewater Twp. He was taken to the county jail pending a bail hearing.
