East Brunswick Woman Chosen for White House Internship
Young women from Sayreville and Edison also made the cut.

East Brunswick, NJ - An East Brunswick young woman has been chosen for the White House Spring 2016 internship program, the White House press secretary announced.
Yasmine Nashed, from East Brunswick and currently attending Rutgers University, is part of the newest batch of White House interns. Another local girl, Rebecca Singh, from Sayreville, was also chosen. Rebecca currently attends Northeastern University. Tania Makker, of Edison, also currently at Rutgers, was chosen as well.

There are more than 100 interns, chosen from an applicant pool nationwide, who participate in the internship each semester. Interns work in one of several White House departments, including the Domestic Policy Council, the National Economic Council, the Office of Cabinet Affairs, the Office of the First Lady, the Office of Legislative Affairs, the Office of the Vice President and more.
