East Brunswick's Orchard Park Hosts Mardi Gras Celebration

The venue is serving up authentic New Orleans fare — from boudin balls to beignets.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Orchard Park by David Burke will host a Mardi Gras Celebration on Friday, from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Tickets are $80 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and include live zydeco music by the VooDudes, an all-you-can-eat upscale buffet, two drink tickets, beads and party favors. Seating in the heated Orchard Terrace is first-come, first-served and features an oversized bar, fireplace, lounge areas and tables.

Guests are encouraged to attend as-is or in traditional Mardi Gras purple, green and gold.

Passed hors d'oeuvres include shrimp and oyster po' boys, muffuletta sandwiches, deviled eggs, boudin balls, Nashville hot chicken and waffle skewers, gator bites and crispy frog legs.

The Mardi Gras-themed buffet features shrimp, chicken and andouille gumbo; bourbon chicken; jambalaya with crawfish, clams, mussels and andouille; fried catfish; fried okra; shrimp and cheddar grits; and dirty rice. Desserts include beignets, bananas Foster, paczki, bread pudding and moon pies.
