UPDATE: Body Recovered From Explosion, Fire That Leveled East Brunswick Home
The man was discovered during a search of the home at 4 Agate Rd. in East Brunswick.

Investigators recovered the body of a man found in the ruins of an East Brunswick house that was destroyed in an explosion and fire, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Deputy Chief William Krause of the East Brunswick Police Department.
The man was discovered during a search of the home at 4 Agate Rd. in East Brunswick. His name is being withheld pending confirmation of his identity and notification of his next of kin.
Police and firefighters were dispatched to the home at 11:26 p.m. on September 16, 2014 and found the structure engulfed in flames.

After the fire was extinguished, police began the search and recovered the victim. An autopsy will be performed by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office. The results were not available immediately.
An investigation into the cause of the explosion and fire is active and is continuing.
