Flooding, Accident Hell On Parkway In Middlesex County
Several accidents created major traffic delays Thursday as heavy rains continued to fall.

Several accidents - including at least two cars that left the Garden State Parkway and landed in the woods - created major traffic delays Thursday as heavy rains continued to fall.
They included:
- An overturned vehicle on the Garden State Parkway southbound, south of Metropark in Woodbridge, at 5:35 a.m. Two right and center lanes were blocked.
- Flooding on I-80, westbound area of Exit 56 and Squirrelwood Rd in West Paterson. Right lane closed at 6 a.m..
- Flooding on Route 1 southbound ramp to Raymond Road in South Brunswick at 6:21 a.m. Ramp closed.
- An accident on the Garden State Parkway northbound, south of Exit 156 and US 46 in Clifton. All lanes open to traffic at 6:20 a.m.
- An accident on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway southbound, north of Interchange 8A, Route 32 in South Brunswick. Right shoulder blocked at 6 a.m.
- An accident and a vehicle off the roadway on the Garden State Parkway southbound area, south of Exit 63, Route 72 East in Manahawkin at 6 a.m.
