Flooring Retail Company Proposes New Store In East Brunswick

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – A flooring retail company is planning a new store at Mid-State Mall, Route 18, East Brunswick.

Floor & Decor Outlets of America have filed an application seeking to combine several spaces to build one 68,064 square feet space at the mall. The company has proposed to combine the spaces previously occupied by Raymour and Flannigan, European Wax Center, Sun Run and Massage Envy.

The company also proposed to add around 6,877 square feet of space to the building, according to the application.

The final space would be around 74,941 square feet. The area of the entire tract is around 1,478,862 square feet.

Floor and Decor Outlets has signed a lease with the mall for the vacant space, the documents say.

The applicant is seeking variances for front yard setback, max height, max lot coverage, landscape buffer, parking area setback and minimum parking.

The township’s Planning Board is expected to hear the application on Wednesday.
