Golden East, Sunny Palace are East Brunswick Favorites

When asked a few weeks ago who had the best Chinese food, readers were split between and . Here's what some of them had to say.

“Golden East…Only place to go!” said Beth Gilbert Kalt on Facebook. “Always fresh & consistent.”

Janice Williams Friedman agreed, pointing to the wait staff at Golden East as a plus.

“Golden East it is! The best ingredients and a friendly staff,” said Friedman.

Janice also gave undecided diners a few options.

“The appetizer, Roasted Sesame Pork, is tender and delicious. Add a little rice and you have a meal!” she said.

Gary Small said it isn’t just the food, but the owners and staff that set Golden East apart.

“Golden East located in Mid State Mall. Great owners, courteous staff and best of all, great food!” he said on Facebook.

Joy Noelle Verney Paton said, “GOLDEN EAST!!!!!!! IT'S THE BEST!”

But Golden East isn’t the only favorite among readers. Sunny Palace also received rave reviews.

“Sunny Palace!” said Paul Kaplan on Facebook. “I love the beef satay and the dim sum on the weekends is excellent.”

“Our family likes Sunny Palace,” said Nora Broehl. “Only wished they delivered. “

Helen Khorosh agreed, saying, “Sunny Palace is excellent!”

EBYee posted on East Brunswick Patch that he also liked the dim sum.

“Sunny Palace for Chinese food,” he said in response to where readers like to eat. “It is one of the few places you can get dim sum. Food is excellent but pricey for dinner.”
