The Concert tells the story of Andrei Simoniovich Filipov, a renowned orchestra conductor from Moscow who was fired thirty years ago for hiring Jewish musicians. After he learns that the Bolshoi orchestra will perform at the Châtelet Theater in Paris, he decides to gather his old musician friends and a young virtuoso, Anne-Marie Jacquet, to play in place of the current orchestra. If the musicians succeed, they will perform a triumphant concert.
