Lidl Seeks Approval To Add Drive-Thru Restaurant At East Brunswick Store
The Planning Board is set to hear the application Feb. 25.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Lidl wants to shrink its planned East Brunswick grocery store and add on a drive-thru restaurant, according to an application scheduled to go before the township Planning Board.
The German discount chain is asking the board to sign off on a 23,481-square-foot store at 651 Route 18 — about 7,500 square feet smaller than what the board previously approved — along with a 1,015-square-foot drive-thru restaurant on the same site.
The application does not identify the restaurant tenant, though it is believed to be a coffee and doughnut shop.
