Man Charged For Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend, Her Father In South River

Jonathan Deavereaux of Plainsboro was charged with attempted murder and other offenses, police said

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – A Plainsboro man has been charged with attempted murder and other offenses for stabbing his ex-girlfriend and her father, South River Police said.

On Friday, Feb. 11, at around 12:21 a.m., South River police were called to a home for a report of a disturbance. On their arrival, police found two victims laying on the ground with multiple stab wounds each. Medical aid was provided and they were taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

Jonathan Deavereaux, 31, of Plainsboro, stabbed his ex-girlfriend and her father, according to the police. Deavereaux was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and one count of violating a final restraining order.

Deavereaux is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center.
