Multiple Car Burglaries Reported On March 3 In East Brunswick
A suspect was captured on camera pulling on several car door handles. Police said all of the burglarized vehicles had their doors unlocked.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A number of cars break-ins were reported in East Brunswick in the early hours of March 3, police said.
The burglaries occurred to vehicles located on residential side streets. A suspect was captured on camera pulling on several car door handles, police said.
According to the police, all of the burglarized vehicles had their doors left unlocked. The suspect caught on camera appears to be approximately 6 feet tall, male, wearing a facemask, a dark-colored hooded jacket, and blue jeans, police said.

The East Brunswick Police Department has once again reminded vehicle owners to use common sense when parking and exiting their vehicle.

Here are a few safety tips shared by the police department:
- Take your keys and don't leave them in your vehicle.
- Close all windows and lock all doors.
- Never leave your vehicle while it is running.
- Never leave valuables in your vehicle. Anything stored inside your vehicle should be out of sight or in the trunk.
- Never leave credit cards/debit cards, cash, or your wallet or purse inside your vehicle overnight.
- Park in well-lit areas or preferably inside a garage, if possible. Parkin visible areas where your vehicle is not hidden by foliage or larger vehicles. Install lights with motion sensors near where you park your vehicle.
- Get in the routine of double-checking that your vehicle is locked and secure each night around 9 p.m.
