New Police Officer Takes Oath Of Office In East Brunswick
Patrolman Zachary Desrosier is a lifelong resident of East Brunswick. He will be assigned to the Patrol Section.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Police Department recently welcomed a new member to its ranks.
On Aug. 11, the East Brunswick Police Department hired Patrolman Zachary Desrosier, a lifelong resident of the Township.
Desrosier, 23, graduated from Kean University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the School of Criminal Justice and Public Administration.

He started his law enforcement career in 2021 with the East Brunswick Police Department as a Special Law Enforcement Officer Class I.
In 2021, he graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy as a Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II. Desrosier then accepted a part-time position with the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department before securing a full-time position with the Hillsborough Township Police Department in 2022.

With two years of experience in law enforcement, Desrosier returned to East Brunswick. He took oath of office in presence of Mayor Brad Cohen, colleagues, family and friends.
After completing his field training, Desrosier will be assigned to the Patrol Section, the police department said.
