New Teen Program at East Brunswick Jewish Center
8th through 12th graders have exciting new programs available at East Brunswick Jewish Center.
The East Brunswick Jewish Center announces new programming for teens in grades 8 through 12. The classes meet on Thursday evenings, from 6:30 to 8:15 pm. Dinner is included and teens have a chance to socialize with their peers.
YAP, the Young Adult Program, gives 8th through 10th graders a chance to practice social action through a series of Mitzvah Modules. In each three or four week module students will study Jewish texts to learn the history and meaning of each commandment. Then they will put theory into practice through community service projets with a lovcal charity.
11th and 12th graders will Rap with the Rabbi. As students face adulthood and independence, they have the chance to discuss issues of identity, ethics, and how to navigate the world as a Jewish adult.
