Passport Clinic For Residents Thursday At East Brunswick Library

NJ District 12 residents can avail of passport services at the public library from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Are you planning to get a new passport made or an old one renewed? You have the opportunity to get that done right here in East Brunswick.

On Thursday, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., residents of the Township and from NJ's 12th District can get a new passport made, renew an old one or get a passport photograph at the East Brunswick Public Library.

The passport clinic is being hosted by Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman and Mayor Brad Cohen.

“Current passport application wait times are 10-13 weeks plus mail time. If your passport is expiring within 1 year you should renew your passport. The anticipated high volume of summer travel may further increase wait times,” Middlesex County Clerk Nancy J. Pinkin said.

“We have been working with Mayor Cohen to add this extra mobile clinic to provide our residents an additional option to begin their application early.”

Attendees should bring their current driver's license and either a government-issued birth certificate or an old passport.

For the services provided, cash will not be accepted, instead, attendees should bring a checkbook or money order.
