Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Police Car In East Brunswick
The incident happened early on Sunday morning, the NJ Attorney General's Office said.
EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — A male pedestrian was struck and killed by an East Brunswick Police Department vehicle on Route 18 early Sunday morning, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office said.
The identity of the pedestrian is not being released at this time.
According to authorities, at around 3:35 a.m. on Sunday morning, a uniformed police officer on duty was driving a marked patrol vehicle in East Brunswick when he fatally struck the man in front of 260 State Route 18.

The man was pronounced dead at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at around 4:13 a.m., authorities said.
The State Attorney General’s Office is currently investigating the death.
