EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — It still remains unclear what caused a 47-year-old South River man to lose control of his car and crash into an East Brunswick home on Saturday.
East Brunswick police say Ruben Hrycyna, 47, of South River, drove into a home on the 20 block of Buck Road at 2:20 p.m. Saturday.
The residents were not home at the time of the crash. Witnesses at the scene said they saw the driver make an abrupt K-turn on Churchill Road and then proceed toward Buck Road, at which time a loud crash could be heard, said police.

The 2004 GMC ended up in the living room area and basement level, said police. Police say the van was fully inside the home.
The South River man was trapped inside the vehicle and after being extricated, he was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.

He was listed as unconscious but stable Saturday afternoon.
