Bank Robbed In East Brunswick, Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect

The incident occurred at the Columbia Bank. Before police could arrive, the suspect fled the scene, authorities said.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of committing a bank robbery.

On Aug. 18, around 11:05 a.m., police were notified of an activated panic alarm at the Columbia Bank on 389, Route 18.

Before officers could arrive at the scene, the bank was robbed and the suspect fled the scene, authorities said.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a medical mask, blue sunglasses, dark sweats, and white shoes, and holding a black Acme bag with red handles.

The man ran to a gray Honda Odyssey mini-van parked on West Ferris Street and fled the area, police said.
