Prosecutor To Speak At East Brunswick Town Hall On Opioid Abuse

The town hall will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Hammarskjold school​. Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey will speak.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Middlesex County residents are invited to join the conversation on the national opioid epidemic as the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey continues its Knock Out Opioid Abuse Town Hall series. The next Town Hall will be in East Brunswick on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Hammarskjold Middle School.

The event will be held at the Jo Ann Magistro Performing Arts Center (Hammarskjold Middle School), 200 Rues Lane, East Brunswick, on Tuesday, December 12. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the event taking place between 7 and 9 p.m. Guest speakers will include Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey along with other experts. This is part of a series of public Town Hall meetings on opiate abuse being held in every county in New Jersey across the state.

The Town Hall is co-sponsored by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Township of East Brunswick, East Brunswick Alliance, East Brunswick Public Schools and 1450 WCTC Talk Radio. Organized with the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, the Town Hall series focuses on the issue of prescription drug dependency and heroin abuse and includes collaboration from hundreds of local prevention and treatment organizations, as well as local and county law enforcement, government and medical community leaders.
