
The East Brunswick Public School District is once again offering General Education Inclusive Preschool classes. The program is open to 3- and 4-year-old children living in East Brunswick.
To be eligible for the 2012-2013 school year, children must be three years old by Oct. 31, 2012 and not age eligible for kindergarten (5 years of age by Oct. 31). Children must also be toilet trained.
The program provides an inclusive educational environment for preschool children aligned with the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Expectations. The classes, taught by certified teachers and supported with paraprofessional aides, include both typically developing and special needs preschool children.

The program is five days per week, two-and-one half hours a day and follows the 10-month school calendar. Classes for the 2012-2013 school year will be at Irwin in the afternoon, Lawrence Brook School in the morning and Memorial in the morning and afternoon.
Tuition is $300 a month and will not be assessed for families eligible for free and reduced lunch. Information on eligibility for free and reduced lunch and the application is available on the district website at www.ebnet.org/Preschool.

Transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Applications for the General Education Inclusive Preschool are also available on the district website and must be received by March 9. A limited number of openings are available. Requests for specific session and location will be considered based on the number of applicants. However, there are no guarantees for parental requested placements. A lottery drawing will occur after the March 9 deadline if the number of applicants exceeds the openings.
