Road Closures at Jersey Avenue Station
Starting Wednesday morning, the following roads will be closed due to a rail replacement project.
Central Jersey - Do you use the Jersey Avenue NJ Transit station?
The station will be affected by road closures starting 7 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9 and lasting through Friday, Dec. 11, due to a rail replacement project near the station, the state DOT has announced.
Rail service will remain in operation at the Jersey Avenue station during construction. However, the following roads will be closed near the station:

-From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jersey Avenue will be reduced to ONE LANE between Van Dyke Avenue and How Lane. Police will be directing traffic on alternating lanes and the roadway will remain open in this fashion.
-Jersey Avenue will be CLOSED at 7 a.m. Thursday between Van Dyke Avenue and How Lane. This closure will last until about 3 p.m. Friday.

The Jersey Avenue Park and Ride will remain OPEN during construction. Drivers wishing to access the Park and Ride lot and train station will be allowed to do so from the How Lane side of Jersey Avenue. They will not be able to access it from the Van Dyke Avenue side.
The NJDOT has placed preliminary signage on the route already alerting drivers to the closure and multiple detour signs will be posted.
