Sensitive Santa for Children with Autism in Helmetta

December 12 at the Helmetta Fire Department Hall at 62 Main Street. BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Each year families with children of autism can find it quite challenging to enjoy celebrating the holidays. This event allows children with autism to enjoy meeting Santa, in a much calmer and less intimidating environment.

Sensitive Santa means that there will be no distracting lights, overwhelming movements, or loud noises bothering children that are typically found at Christmas scenes in the mall. When meeting with Santa, only the child, the child’s family, and a staff photographer will be in the designated area.
