Middlesex County Bat Tests Positive For Rabies

This bat was found in the vicinity of Ridge Road and County Route 522, Monmouth Junction.

The South Brunswick Health Department was notified by the New Jersey State Health Department on Friday that a bat submitted for testing was found to be positive for rabies.

Avoid contact with stray pets

Report unusual behavior of stray or wild animals to the Animal Control Officer

Report all animal bites immediately to the South Brunswick Health Department at 732-329-4000 ext. 7237.
