Cops Looking For Suspect Who Stole $1,500 In Middlesex County

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect who stole $1,500 dollars worth of change from a machine on Route 1 in Middlesex County Thursday night.

At 10:30 p.m., police responded to the Eco Lube on Route 1 by Major Road for a burglar alarm. When officers arrived they found the change machine on the side of the building was smashed open and the change was missing.

The owner of the South Brunswick business responded and retrieved video surveillance from outside the building. The video clearly captures the suspect approaching the building with a metal rod and moving the camera angle. The suspect appears to be a white male in his 40s or 50s.
