South River Hiring A Police Officer; How To Apply
The borough of South River is hiring for a police officer and applications can be picked up now through Nov. 15. The exam is Dec. 3.
SOUTH RIVER, NJ — The borough of South River is currently hiring for one police officer and applications can be picked up now through Nov. 15.
Applications may be picked up at the South River Police Department Records Bureau located at 61 Main Street, South River, NJ between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.
All applicants must be able to successfully pass a written examination, physical agility examination, oral examination, medical and psychological examinations and an extensive background investigation.

MINIMUM EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
• United States Citizen
• Resident of the State of New Jersey
• Minimum 21 years of age and not over 35 years of age (NJSA 40A:14-127)
• Possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s License
• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
A one hundred ($100.00) dollar non-refundable registration fee will be charged to all applicants
- Money order payable to “Borough of South River” for one hundred dollars ($100.00).

- NO CASH OR CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Applicants will also be required to provide a photocopy of their valid New Jersey Driver’s License and a recent passport sized photo (2 x 2 3/4 inches).
All phases of the hiring process will occur during the holiday season. The written exam is scheduled for Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
