Arrest Made in Hit and Run of East Brunswick Teen
The South River woman, 33, hit the 17-year-old boy out jogging on Old Bridge Turnpike March 16 and fled the scene, police say.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - A South River woman has been arrested in the hit-and-run of a 17-year-old East Brunswick young man a few weeks ago on Old Bridge Turnpike.
As Patch reported at the time of the accident, the 17-year-old boy was jogging south on Old Bridge Turnpike at approximately 9:54 p.m. on March 16 when he was struck by an unknown vehicle from behind. The teen was thrown to the ground and the suspect vehicle fled the scene without stopping, police said.
Responding officers located the victim who was injured, but not seriously. Patrol units recovered a broken off portion of a front passenger side bumper at the scene of the accident.

The East Brunswick Investigative Division and Special Operations Division, specifically Detective Michael Smith, Detective John Breen and Patrolman James Angermeier, were able to identify the specific make, model and approximate year of the suspect vehicle, a champagne or gold colored Dodge Intrepid, manufactured between 1998 -2004.
The suspect's vehicle description was published on Patch and other media outlets and last Friday, March 30, East Brunswick police located the suspect vehicle and interviewed the driver, Stefanie Susinno, 33, of South River.

Susinno was charged with Assault by Auto and Endangering an Injured Person. She was also issued numerous motor vehicle violations including Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Report.
Chief James Conroy and the East Brunswick Police Department would like to thank the public’s response last week by helping to identify the suspect vehicle. The numerous tips the department received were critical in solving this hit and accident, they said.
