Sports Reporter, Cancer Drug Pioneer Among East Brunswick Hall Of Fame Inductees

The dinner will recognize four community honorees and induct two East Brunswick High School graduates into the Hall of Fame.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick Education Foundation will host its 32nd annual Partner in Excellence Award Dinner and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on April 29 at Pines Manor in Edison.

The event will honor four recipients and induct two East Brunswick alumni into the foundation's Hall of Fame. Cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:15 p.m.

This year's Partner in Excellence honorees are Alexia DeLuca, Megan Fischer, Dr. Renee Soccodato and Robert Zuckerman.

The foundation will also induct two East Brunswick High School graduates into its Hall of Fame: Dr. Samuel C. Blackman and Aditi Kinkhabwala.

Blackman, a Class of 1986 graduate, is a pediatric neuro-oncologist and cancer drug developer. In 2018, he co-founded Day One Biopharmaceuticals, a biotech company focused on developing therapies for children with cancer, and guided its lead drug to FDA approval in 2024 as the first new treatment for the most common form of childhood brain tumor. He currently serves as an entrepreneur-in-residence at GV, formerly Google Ventures.

Kinkhabwala is an NFL reporter and contributor for CBS Sports. From 2012 to 2022, she served as a national correspondent at NFL Network. Earlier in her career she covered the NFL for the Wall Street Journal and worked as a reporter for The Record in New Jersey. She is a Cornell University graduate.
