Township Holds Auction for Fire Extinguishers
Municibid.com is the site many municipalities go to auction off their unneeded equipment.

The township is soliciting bids for 21 portable fire extinguishers.
The 21 Buckeyed Wheeled Fire Extinguishers are being sold in three lots of seven with a minimum bid of $750 per lot. The extinguishers were previously used for the commuter parking lot on Route 18 and are no longer needed, said Dan Losik of the Department of Public Works.
The extinguishers, like other municipally owned property that is for sale, must go out to bid and sold to the customer with the best offer.

“We have to auction it out, but people can come to the township to pay and can come to the township to have a look at them, said Losik.
The bids can be found on www.municibid.com. In the past, the township has even used the website to deal in automobiles. The auction began on June 18 and will end on July 21.
