Trailer for "Hugo" Cabret Released
A film based on Brian Selznick's novel "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" is expected to be released in November.
A new trailer has been released for the upcoming movie "Hugo," based on the award winning novel the "Invention of Hugo Cabret," by East Brunswick's own .
The “The Invention of Hugo Cabret,” won the Caldecott Award in 2008 and will star Ben Kingsley and is directed by Martin Scorsese.
Selznick graduated from East Brunswick and attended Warnsdorfer and other district schools. He had his first book “The Houdini Box” published in 1991 while working at the children’s book store, Eeyore’s, in New York. He also Selznick illustrated “Frindle” by Andrew Clements, “The Doll People,” by Ann Martin and Laura Godwin, “Amelia and Eleanor Go for a Ride,” by Pam Munoz Ryan, and “The Dinosaurs of Waterhouse Hawkins,” by Barbara Kerley, which also received the Caldecott Honor.
