White Van Approaching Kids at Bus Stops in East Brunswick, Police Say
Be alert: East Brunswick police received 2 reports of a suspicious white van approaching juveniles at bus stops in town.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick police have received two reports of a suspicious white commercial work van approaching juveniles at bus stops in the town, officers said Wednesday night.
The first incident took place on Tuesday at approximately 6:40 a.m. in the area of Dunhams Corner Road and Valley Forge Drive. The white van was observed slowing down and asking a juvenile "What school do you go to?" The incident was reported to police later that evening.
The second incident occurred Wednesday at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the section of town known as the "Presidents Streets" off Old Stage Road. The driver of the white van offered a juvenile a ride home.

The van could only be described as a white work van with no visible markings and possibly a NJ registration. In the first incident, the driver was described as an Asian male, approximately 30 years old, with black hair and black stubble facial hair. In the second incident, the driver was only described as being a male, no age or race.
Police are conducting increased directed patrols of area neighborhoods and the East Brunswick Police Department's Detective Bureau is investigating both incidents. Anyone who observes this vehicle in the area is asked to contact the police immediately.
