EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — In the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, who can forget 2020 is an election year? And it's not just at the presidential level, as President Trump seeks to secure a second term.
In East Brunswick, the mayor's seat and two Council seats are open:
On the Democratic ticket, Mayor Brad Cohen seeks to be re-elected, as do his running mates Sterley Stanley and Michael Spadafino, who seek to keep their seats on the town council.

All three will be challenged by local Republicans: Jesal Amin running for mayor, Olga Miller and Suzanne Blum running for town council.
The primary election has been pushed back to July 7. But the primary is not contested in East Brunswick as there are three Democrats and three Republicans running for three seats. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
