Working in Oil

The Suburban Artist Guild of Central New Jersey(SAG) will host an oil painting demonstration at its next meeting, Friday, June 10, at 2 p.m. in the East Brunswick Public Library.

Award winning artist and teacher, Ellen A. Gavin will demonstrate how to paint using oils. Ellen either paints "Plein Air" or in her studio in Millville. Her paintings combine realism with an energetic and emotional brushstroke. She paints landscapes, citiscapes and is becoming nationally recognized for her equestrian paintings, which have been widely exhibited and collected.

Ellen graduated from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and became a successful commercial artist. She now devotes all of her time to painting and teaching.
