Family Caregivers Program To Be Offered To East Hanover Residents

The program provides practical skills for stress management, coping and problem-solving.

EAST HANOVER, NJ — The East Hanover and Roseland Health Departments will offer Stress Busting for Family Caregivers, a free, evidence-based nine-week program designed to support family caregivers of people living with chronic illness and/or dementia.

The program will consist of weekly 90-minute sessions in a small-group setting in East Hanover.

Participants will receive support and education focused on caring for themselves while also caring for a loved one.

The program provides practical skills for stress management, coping and problem-solving and has been shown to improve quality of life for family caregivers.

Dates and times have not yet been finalized. There is no charge to participate.

Family caregivers interested in the program should call the East Hanover Health Department at 973-888-6035.

Stress Busting for Family Caregivers is sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Aging.
