Hamburg, NJ: On Thursday, October 13th, The Calais Foundation will host its 5th Annual Golf Classic at the Award-Winning Ballyowen Golf Club of The Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, NJ to support the Foundation’s mission of empowering children and young adults with serious learning disabilities and socialization challenges realize their fullest potential in life.

The Golf Classic begins at 7:30 am with a check in, a light breakfast and welcome gifts to all participants followed by 18 holes of scramble golf. Players can compete in on-course contests and foursomes can vie for placement prizes. A gourmet sit-down lunch in the afternoon ends the fun-filled day, but event guests can stay and enjoy one of Crystal Springs’ luxury spas or an overnight stay at a special reduced room rate.

Although the Golf Classic was on-hold in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid, in October 2019, 80 golfers enjoyed a golf-filled day at the Wild Turkey Golf Course, also at Crystal Springs, raising $77,000 to support programs and resources for children with special needs and their families.
