A Year of Blooming Bulbs
By Sheila Dwyer
In November, the Garden Club of Florham Park will be hosting a program entitled “ A Year of Blooming Bulbs”, at 7:15 PM on Wednesday, November 4, at the Florham Park Public Library, in the Akhoury room. The program will be presented by Ilona Ontscherenki. Ilona has been a Master Gardener for 15 years. She gardens both inside and outside of a deer fence, on 5 acres in Chester, and has planted thousands of bulbs there over the past 30 years.
Bulbs are a great addition to your garden, because most are perennial, returning every year, and many are deer proof. Ilona will take us from fall planting through spring flowers, and will discuss many different varieties of bulbs and the best planting techniques.
