East Hanover Newlyweds Endure Honeymoon Nightmare

Couple's hotel room was ransacked with wedding ring and $30,000 in cash and items stolen, report said.

Let's hope the marriage goes better than the honeymoon did for an East Hanover couple. WPIX reports that Gianna Sgourakis and Aky Lionas, married in June, had a wonderful wedding, but the honeymoon? Not so much.

The pair was going to Hawaii, but decided to make a stop in Los Angeles and spend a few days at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. One morning they went out to go shopping.  Upon their return to their hotel room, they found Lionas' wedding band missing. The room had also been trashed—the couple's belongings were everywhere—and an estimated $30,000 in cash and items was gone, the report said.

Hotel security said via email a man came into the hotel, followed room service into the newlyweds' room and claimed the room was his.
