Florham Park Woman Accepted in Emerge NJ
Rebecca Cain Accepted For 2016 Political Training Program

On Saturday, January 16th Emerge New Jersey, the premier political training organization for Democratic women in the state, kicked off its 2016 Political Training Program. During the two-day kickoff weekend, Emerge New Jersey’s 2016 class members learned the nuts and bolts of a successful political campaign from local, county and state elected officials.
This year’s class is Emerge New Jersey’s largest class to date, of 20 Democratic women who were selected from throughout the state. Included in the new class is Rebecca Cain of Florham Park. Cain is the Principal at Tuckerman Partners Consulting, LLC in Florham Park. She is a seasoned business leader with a demonstrated record of achievement and advancement across 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate, start-up and non- profit settings.
Cain is also a first-time Democratic candidate who campaigned for Florham Park Borough Council during the 2015 election cycle. She is actively engaged in her Florham Park community, both personally and politically; recently playing the part of Hillary Clinton at the Florham Park Democratic Committee caucus. “My career success has come from consistently delivering results and exceeding expectations. In Florham Park, I decided to run for Council because I want to make a meaningful contribution to my community like I have with my corporate employers. Also, I have a three-year-old daughter – who reminds me daily of the importance of following through on your promises,” said Cain.

On why she chose to apply for Emerge New Jersey and what she hopes to learn, Cain said, “I chose to apply to the Emerge program because I feel that the combination of structured learning, hands-on experience, and an amazing network of women will help me tremendously. I hope to be able to contribute meaningfully to my community by bringing Emerge to bear in the 2016 election cycle and beyond.”
