Food Drive at The Messy Artist

The Messy Artist of East Hanover is hosting a food and supply drive for the month of November, with all donations going to the Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown.

During November, the public is invited to drop off the following at the children’s art studio, located at 356 Route 10 West, East Hanover (Castle Ridge Shopping Center). The Messy Artist is around the corner from Michael’s and Smashburger, and next to the bagel store. A box in the lobby is available for donations every day while the studio is open (Monday through Thursday: 9 am – 5 pm; Friday: 12 pm – 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday: 10 am -5 pm.)

Soup Kitchen Current Needs List:

• Hearty cans of soup/chili/stew, preferably flip-top (this is easiest for guests who are homeless)
• Low sugar cereal and oatmeal
• Individual packets of breakfast bars, nuts or trail mix
• Canned chicken and tuna
• Warm thermal socks
• L and XL T-shirts
• L and XL Thermal underwear
• Men’s waterproof winter gloves
• Flashlights
• Rain ponchos
• Toiletries: shampoo, razors, deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste

CEO Donna Bernstein says, “Our lives are touched in a positive way by every student and family that we meet, and we honor that by paying it forward to make a difference in our community.
