New Summer STEM Day Program open to all girls and boys entering grades 3 - 5 in Morris County
Starting in the summer of 2015, boys and girls entering grades three through five will be able to attend the Summer STEM Institute.

(Cedar Knolls, NJ) Starting in the summer of 2015, boys and girls entering grades three through five will be able to attend the Summer STEM Institute. The Summer STEM Institute is a fun and engaging day program that will entertain and teach its students in new and unique ways. Young boys and girls will work in teams, meet new friends and perform hands-on experiments that make science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) come alive.
No moment will be dull for the students at the Summer STEM Institute. The program has been designed and vetted by STEM educators and professionals to be fun and age appropriate. The hands-on activities help students learn the academic concepts behind the experiments. It will delve into everything from designing rockets to homemade ice-cream.
The program runs on six 1-week sessions between July 6 and August 14, 2015. Sessions run Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm. Drop off as early as 7:00 am and pick up as late as 6:00 pm for no extra fee. The week-long program costs $400. It includes a tee shirt, daily snack, and fun, safe STEM activities in modern facilities located in Cedar Knolls, NJ. Limited to 40 students per session. The institute is proud to have a staff to student ratio of one to four.

The Summer STEM Institute is being run by the Boy Scouts of America, Patriots’ Path Council with the program taking place at their service center in Cedar Knolls, NJ. The location houses new modern facilities with air conditioning, restrooms, refrigeration for lunch storage, Wi-Fi, park-like grounds, and large spacious classrooms made for instructions, demonstrations, and activities. The program is open to all boys and girls (Scouts and non-Scouts) entering the 3rd-5th grade in September 2015.
