NJAASC Elects New Board Members
The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (NJAASC) has elected two new members to its board of directors
The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (NJAASC) has elected two new members to its board of directors: Alene Stewart, MBA, RN, RT®, of Raritan Valley Surgical Center, and Elizabeth Convery, RN, of Livingston Surgical Center. In addition, Joan McKibben, RN, BSN, CASC, ONC, of the Joint Replacement and Spine Surgery Institute, was re-elected to the Board and will continue to serve as secretary.
“NJAASC’s Board is committed to advocating for our members and delivering informative programming and robust networking events, sharing intel about the latest legislation and regulations impacting New Jersey ambulatory surgery centers, and providing timely member-only communications,” explained Meg Stagliano, MBA, MSN, RN, President of NJAASC’s Board.

The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (NJAASC) is an incorporated, non-profit organization which was founded in 1992 by owners of ambulatory surgery centers. Its membership is currently comprised of more than 200 ambulatory surgery centers and 50 vendors and associate members. NJAASC’s mission is to promote and advance the efforts of New Jersey's ambulatory surgery centers in the delivery of optimum patient care in a cost- effective manner. It offers information, educational and networking opportunities for everyone associated with the ASC industry; provides advocacy on issues affecting its members; monitors state and federal legislation, and interacts with the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) on state and federal issues.
