Local Volunteers Needed to Help Plan 2018 Event for American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society’s Relay of Life of Florham Park & The Hanovers is seeking local volunteers to join its Event Leadership Team!
This team meets monthly to plan Relay For Life of Florham Park & The Hanovers - an event that raised more than $32K last year! There are many ways to help and make a real difference in our community!
Relay for Life is the world’s largest fundraising event to save lives from cancer. Uniting communities across the globe, Relay for Life celebrates survivors who have battled cancer, remembers loved ones lost, and takes action for lifesaving changes.

Dollars raised help the American Cancer Society provide free information and support for people in our community facing this disease and fund critical cancer research. During Relay For Life, members of each team take turns walking or running around the track. Teams fundraise in the months leading up to the event and on event day.
Some of the planning team’s responsibilities include recruiting teams and sponsors, marketing and publicizing the event, planning event ceremonies, entertainment and event logistics. These are just a few of the many opportunities for our team of dedicated volunteers working to eliminate cancer once and for all! Local students seeking volunteer hours are welcome to participate.
